hello, charles....Settende Mai is celebrated this year on May 14, 15, and 16 in most places (see today's post), leaving folks to contemplate all the fun and recover from their hangovers on the day itself...which here in the city of Satan is a cold, rainy Monday.
i was fascinated to learn that Norway declared its independence from Denmark!! Not Sweden?? who knew? Some of my relatives may have been from Norway if they were Vikings who stopped by (impregnated half of) Ireland on their way to Canada...
