Freezer compartment:
lots of frozen veg, a few chicken breasts, some omaha steaks hamburger patties and stuffed baked potatoes, bread, ice cubes.
Refrigerator:
The big white salad spinner has a bunch of cleaned parsley ready to chop, many orange-like things (oranges, tangelos), potatos, water, soymilk, strawberry yogurt (toward the back), wine in the door, more veg in the two drawers, some random bits of cheese, sausage thawing for pea soup, strawberries, apricot jam. leftover kasha varnishkes and lebanese salad in the two containers on bottom shelf, a carton of eggs....
what does it say about me? i'm better at eating than taking photos....
actually, it's making me hungry. there's nothing good to eat in there! no deli containers of leftovers from Jaleo or Raku. i suppose i could dig around and find some olives. need to buy apples!
how imaginative of you to show us your fridge. (lately i say things that seem to approach the off-color; is it me or the culture?)
ReplyDeleteanyway, i think it's stimulating to consider what's in there. some of the objects are hard to see and provoke questions. like: why sausage in pea soup? of course, that's just me trying to avoid meat whenever possible.
have you used greek yogourt? tangy.
not so imaginative....this isn't an original idea...it's a meme, and i was too rushed to introduce it properly and cite where i'd seen it first, and now i've forgotten. maybe on Serious Eats?
ReplyDeleteit's turkey sausage, and i found a great recipe for pea soup that calls for it. that's the last of it, and i probly won't buy it again. too expensive.
are you wholly vegetarian? thanks for that lentil veg meat loaf recipe, btw!! gonna try that this week.
and yes, i LOVE greek yogurt. i usually drink yogurt, though. haven't seen any drinkable Greek yogurt.
