RIP, sweet singer

2000 dead red-winged blackbirds dropped like rocks from the sky in Arkansas this past weekend (and more fell in Louisiana a day or two later). Fox News says "It's a mystery," and one Fox newscaster went so far as to report that one local official said the birds "are a nuisance this time of year." Fox newscasters are a nuisance 24/7, 365 days a year. If you want to consider something truly scary, google "Chemtrails." Apparently those fluffy white trails behind jets are not "contrails" anymore. They contain huge doses of mercury and other heavy metals and poisons. Perhaps this is why the bees are disappearing. Massive aerial spraying, anyone?

  1. This is heartbreaking... between the two massive bird kills and the fish kill... I am so ashamed of us, we're a blight on this planet.

  3. More birds dropping from the sky in Sweden a day or so ago.... this should be a huge wake up message to us, but nobody's listening. Or at least the people who could do something about it aren't listening.....

  4. Only man fouls his own nest and man has done a real nasty job on our environment. Disgusting and depressing.

  5. The paper today said "Dead Fish" ranked at the top of google search. The story has certainly captured worldwide attention.

I wonder, could this be an after effect of the gulf oil spill? Contaminated fish, fish eaten by birds, killing both?

  6. Possibly...but I'd hardly expect 2000 red-winged blackbirds to drop from the sky all at one time because of it--or the different birds in Sweden and Australia. Perhaps the baby whales died from the effects of the oil spill, ditto the fish.

What truly gets me is that the media are stony silent about this. Birds? Pooh. Fish? Pooh. Whales? Who cares? but idiot Republicans, wow! Everywhere I looked this morning, I saw Boner's ugly face--as if we have been rescued from the big bad Democratic party. Ugh and double ugh.
