I don't know about you, but I discourage my family from making our great-grandsons call me "great-grandma" as it is so much of a mouthful with the two "g" sounds. In my family, I had two great-grandmothers and one great-great-grandmother...but each went by "Grandma Smith" or whatever her last name happened to be. Everyone knew to whom we kids were referring and I, at least, had a problem pronouncing some sounds in those days.
BTW: Can anyone explain to me the theory behind color-coding the caps and headbands on babies? Didn't we have a women's movement that railed against stereotyping by sex? Cop Car
If he isn't a democrat, he should be!! i like the hats, but I don't know where he got them. Anyway, thanks for checking in, CC!! I asked Medea (his mom) if he had any new tricks this morning (day 4). She said he's been SNEEZING!! God..Isn't that the cutest thing??
As I think I mentioned once before, fairly recently, I love little boys! And this one is ultra-cute in that hat. Is there any hair under the hat? My sons and all the grandchildren were essentially bald with a bit of white fuzz in top, so I think babies who are born with lots of dark hair are aliens from outer space.
Not aliens!! french, italian, spanish....just not northern europeans. LOVE babies with long, black hair. But L is not among them. he's got hair like his dad....dark, cropped.
The cutest little munchkin I've seen in ages. And can he ever rock the knit caps!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweetheart! So glad all went well.
ReplyDeleteThank God...he's got fashion sense!
ReplyDeleteAwe, how sweet. Congratulations grandma! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! And that would be "Great-grandma," Diana. It's my oldest grandson and his wife's new baby! :)
ReplyDeleteXE--Congratulations!
