We have voter ID. I'm a member of League of Women Voters, and I work on registration drives. We have a rather low turnout here in Hawaii, which could be due to voter I.D. laws. We should do a study on that, I think. I can't figure out why we have this law here anyway.
This is a great video message! I've thought all along these voter I.D. laws were such blatant discriminatory efforts that I couldn't believe they'd ever be accepted anywhere. But, if you can't win an election any other way, I guess people stoop to whatever will work -- incredibly, so many people go along with it.
I'm amazed at the confusion going on. So far this week, I've had three emails telling me to register to vote. Now I know my emails and FB and all of that have been hacked, but I also know I'm registered to vote. That was one of the first things I did after I moved here. I have the printed card to prove it.
We are striving against not just voter ennui or lack of time, but principalities and powers--the father of lies. I'm not any more of a religious fruitcake than I ever was, but the falsehoods flying around are making my head spin. Isn't truth one of our standards?
