Well....We're about to embark on Sam's Graduation Day (from h.s.). The dogs, Lily & Shep) will stay here and, I'm told, will not devour the package of meat thawing on the counter. If the meat were thawed or NOT in the package, or if it were too close to the edge of the counter, it would be another story.
Oops...time to go....
Back later today with Sam and all his stuff.
Congrats to Sam and bon voyage!!!

KD: Thanks...There were prayers and hymns in the chapel, then we all moved outside to the lawn for more homilies and encomia for speakers and spoken-to alike. The sun shone and cameras clicked all the while until each and every grad had received a diploma. When it was all over we got to help ourselves to tables full of delicious ham & cheese or turkey sandwiches, potato chips, cookies, iced tea and Hawaiian punch, and apples. Little kids ran around happy and proud in their good clothes, adults greeted each other with affection and enthusiasm, and some of the new grads, one I know well, puffed on big stinky cigars--for approximately 20 minutes.
ReplyDeletePeggy: Pix to follow, possibly by tomorrow.
Congratulations to Sam!
ReplyDeleteAnd to Xtreme E too, for resisting the urge to rip that big stinky cigar out of his mouth!
shammy: on the theory that everyone gets to sink their own ship, I did not wrest Sam's cigar away. I just moved upwind. *:0)
