Love notes to the English language
Those gulls are Laughing Gulls. :-)
A nice shot of gulls floating on the air currents. It makes me want to join them.
Hope you had a happy mors dag.

Hello Mary! Btw, are your ancestors from Norway? I'm just wondering. Our morsdag here is on February and sometimes I got all mixed up with the dates.
hello, charles....Settende Mai is celebrated this year on May 14, 15, and 16 in most places (see today's post), leaving folks to contemplate all the fun and recover from their hangovers on the day itself...which here in the city of Satan is a cold, rainy Monday. i was fascinated to learn that Norway declared its independence from Denmark!! Not Sweden?? who knew? Some of my relatives may have been from Norway if they were Vikings who stopped by (impregnated half of) Ireland on their way to Canada...Hope you have some lutefisk or meatballs & cream gravy today....:)
Appropo of none of the above, thought of you yesterday when the blog EVE http://equalvisibilityeverywhere.org/blog/name-that-street/ came into view. Seems the energy is out there to name a street in D.C. for a (are you ready) woman!Alert the gulls along with the other folks walking the beach with you.
So lovely :)
