The flailing falsehoods of America's war criminals

P.S. On my way to Orlando last week, I changed flights on the way. At the airport, in a Border's bookstore, yet, I saw THIS ugly display:
(Pardon my surprise, but I associate Borders with my father's birthplace, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I have always presumed the best of anything that comes out of Ann Arbor.)
It made me realize just how precious our time is, and how necessary that we fight against the right wing's propaganda when the media not only won't help us but are also doing their doggonedest to spread the poison.
I'm doing my best to rage against the insanity reigning in this country. I think we've lost our collective mind. This is not the country that I grew up in.
ReplyDeleteThe Bush thugs can't win on truth so they have to lie. I just hope the fear of prosecution as war criminals has kept a few of them awake at night. They may get away with it legally, but if they have a shred of conscience (not probable), they will pay the penalty of guilt or fear.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I agree. The Right dominates our discourse. I thought that the election of Barack Obama would help. It hasn't. The Right screams "socialist" and empties the gun stores of bullets--and the man who governs like a moderate Republican. Meanwhile the press treats the airway idiots--frauds, liars, pandering cheats--like there is some evidence and logic in what they say. There is not. They love press and power, and, above all, the sound of their own voices. It would be funny if the country weren't going 90 mph off a cliff. Cat
