Little Hunter Hayes is Growin' Up!

The little accordion player whose video I posted a week or two ago singing "Jambalaya" at age 5 (not age 4, sorry) with Hank Williams, Jr., is a ripe old 16!

Here's a video of him singing within the past year. He's reputed to be an exceptional guitar player now, too. In fact, he's mastered 11 instruments since his early toe-tapping accordion-playing days and is a wildly popular musician ("The Amazing One") on the Cajun circuit.

He has his own website, too.

  2. Hey M.E., thenks for your kind comments about my gorgeous new grandson. I think I shall enjoy boing a Nana to such a sweet little boy. It was a long hard haul to get him here, but now that he's safe and sound in his Mummy and Daddy's arms, I am so thankful. WOOHOO! I'm a happy Nana!

  3. and about the "darkish" hair. I had bright orange hair when I was born, and my 2 sons both had white hair until they reached early teens, and Callum's mummy has fair hair, so I was very surprised to see the dark hair. But it might change. No sign of red though.

  4. you had bright orange hair when u were born? zowie. my dad had blonde hair till he was 12 or so, but when you look at the two pictures we have of him before he was that age, his hair looks brown. i think this is some celtic thing. is callum a celt? i have never seen a newborn getting a bath! down here in the states, we wait till their umbilical cord falls off before we dunk them in water. peggy was right. he has amazing strength for just a newbie. he looks as if he's holding his head up by himself.

beautiful baby....perfect size. what fun to share in your joy....
